White shimmery eyeshadow /gloss vs powder/ review

Merry Christmas everyone ^ ^
This is the time of the year where you can go over the top whit glittery, shimmery eyeshadows and no one will think you are crazy ^ ^ I for once LOVE eyeshadows whit a bit of shimmer in them, and the silver/white ones are the most popular this season /and for me the whole year ^ ^/ I own a shimmery white gloss eyeshadow from Miss Sporty and a powder one from Essence /sadly I don't have a loose powder one/. So today I'm going to talk about the "+" and "-" side on this two types of eyeshadow ^ ^
They both are around the same price /1.50 euro for MS and 1.90 for Essence or something like that/ //out of topic - I'm sorry that I can tell you an exact price on anything, but my curency is bulgarian leva and 1 euro = 1.96 leva and some brands reverse it - like essence if something here 6 leva, it will be 3 euro in all the countrys whit euro, and some brands leave it the same - like maybelline something that costs 10 euro, here it will cost 10 leva, not 20. And because if you get 400 euro for a salary, we don't get 800 leva, we get 400 leva and most of the products are way to expensive for me and that's why most of my reviews are on cheaper products like Miss Sporty or Golden Rose ... Essence and Maybelline /and may be L'oreal, all thgou one mascara from L'oreal cost like 30 leva/are in the middle range and I can't afford something from the higher range, so I am again sorry for that //
Lets start whit the Miss Sporty one

This is how it looks opened

And how it looks on the skin

As you can see, you have to apply it by hand, you can apply it whit a brush, but it will leave strikes and won't be so pretty and if you use a sponge - it will take a part from your shadow and just absorve it, so it's best to use your finger ^ ^
As you can see i you don't go over it again it is white and shimmery, but not too much - I love that, I also love the fact, that it doesn't crease a lot, I do have a lot a lot of skin on my eyes, so all my shadows crease a lill' bit.
Now a big plus here is, that you can use it as a base or the powder eyeshadows, because when it's a gloss it has some stickines of a sort, so it helps your eyeshadow to stay there, the minus is that you just can't apply it on top o a powder eyeshadow, I mean you can, but it really won't work out ^ ^ I also love to put it on my eyebrow bone ^ ^

Essence

This is how it looks opened

And how it looks like on the skin

Here a you can see the colour is way more intense. You can apply it how ever you want - by hand, brush, sponge. Again it doesn't crease /all most, as I explained/ The plus here is that you can use it on top of other eyeshadows /in this case a little bit o this on top gives it a magical shimmer and you can also put a bit on your eyebrows as well/.

They both are wonderful and if you combine them /first the gloss than the powdre/ you will be amazed by the end result ^ ^
Have you used gloss eyeshadows ?What is your opinion ?

Creme Rouge from Alvede - review

Hey girls, are you preparing for the holidays ? Did you put up you Christmas tree and decorations ? I still don't feel the dpirit of the holiday, I still haven't touched all the Christmas stuff.. Any way back on the topic - Today I'm gonna do a review of the creme rouge by Alverde. For those of you that don't know Alverde is a natural cosmetic line, from Germany, that belongs to the DM drogerie market and it can only be found in the DM stores ^ ^ /or online I suposse /

So the rouge I have is in number 2 Soft Coper

The colour stays very natural on the skin / at least on my skin /

My cheeks are naturally "blushed", so it looks like I'm wearing a bit of blush all the time, but I do have some health issues and then I get really pale and look.... well like a vampire ^ ^ So I deffenatly need a touch of rouge to look a bit more alive ^ ^ And because I don't know when it will happen, i prefer to carry to rouge whit me and put it on, when I need it. So I really wanted to try out a cream rouge, because I don't need a brush to put it on, just a finger /of witch I have 10 ^ ^/ so when I saw this one on sale for half price /3.90 leva, from 7.90 leva/ I just had to have it ^ ^ I had it for a while now and I must say I'm pretty happy whit it ^ ^
I love the fact that it looks natural, but it has a little sparkle in it, it's super cute ^ ^
I also love the fact that I can carry it around and just put it on whit my finger when needed for less than 30 seconds
The fact it's natural only helps more ^ ^
I'm sad I didn't buy anoither one, when it was on sale ^ ^

Eyebrow stylist set by Essence - review

These are all the parts of the set. It conatins two colours - light brown and dark brown, a brush and 3 templets /and a "how to use" helper /

This is how the shapes look

The first shape is whit the lighter colour, the second is whit the darker colour and the last one /one the bottom/ is a mix of both. I have really dark hair /black/ there for my eyebrows are black as well. And the darker colour is more for me.

As Make-up 101 says
- blonds - darker colour
- brunets - lighter colour
than your natural colour, I am a brunet, so I need a lighter colour so having black eyebrows the dark brown is perefct for me.

I don't use it very often, because my eyebrows are naturally very tick so it looks like I always have something on them, but when I get a lill' bit over the top whit the tweezers - this is the thing that saves me ^ ^
I like the fact that it is small and portable
I like the pigmentation
The 3 shapes are OK, but I would like another more ticker one ^ ^

How much does it cost - I think I got it for around 6 leva, so 3 euro for most of you ^ ^ Witch for most of your standards isn't expensive ^ ^

The big Smokey eye topic / review /

Before I start I want to say "Thank you" to the people looking at this /the blog/. I'm so happy to see that someone is actually reading it, it may be only a few people, but really makes my day, so Thank you

So everybody loves smokey eyes and everybody has a diferend way of doing them. Here I'm going to try out two "smokey eye" sets and also tell how I usually make my smokey eye. And because I'm going to write "Smokey Eye" waaaay to many times, from now on I'm just going to write "SE" ^ ^ So I'll start whit the two sets I own. One of them is by Miss Sporty and the other one is by Essence.

I'm going to whit the one by Miss sporty. I have number 401 "for blue eyes" I don't have blue eyes, but it still looks good ^ ^ It looks like this

On the squers it says "1,2,3 and 4" 1 being the lightest colour and 4 the darkest / 1- top left; 2- top right; 3- bottom left and 4- bottom right /
On the back it has this image whit numbers, that suggests how to use them. I actually use the same sceme when doing my SE /before I ever knew what Miss Sporty is ^ ^/ I'm sorry it said ways, I just can't turn it for some reason

On the skin it looks like this - from 1 to 4 - from top to bottom

What do I think ?
The colours are perfect - the blend in perectly and are in perfect harmony
The case is small, so it's easy to carry around
It gives you tips on how to make you're SM
It has 4 colours - as I said i usually use 4 colours of eyeshadow, so that's a plus
But it's not that pigmented. have to over it again and again and again ....
Would I buy it in other colours ? - The other colours avalible -at least here- are green and pink. I may get the green one, but I'll pass the pink version ^ ^

Cost : 3.09 euro /the price is taken off the MS web site/

Next stop we have the Essence SE. It conatins 1 eyeshado, 1 gel liner and a dobble applicator - one for the eyeshadow and one for the gel. I have 03 "Purple manic" I use to have the black one too, but a friend of mine took it ^ ^

It again has a tip on how to use it

And on the skin it looks like this - eyeshadow, liner , both

And here it is on the eye + Mascara

What do I think?
It's small, so it's easy to take it around
It inclueds the brush you are going to need to put on your eyeshadow in the kit, so you don't have to bring another one
It's pigmented, but not too much - a very piggmented purple for a SE wouldn't be such a good idea
It stays a lot longer, because of the gel
You don't need a pencil/liner - witch is what I usually put
But it has only 2 colours and as I said - I use 4

Would I buy it again ? Yes

Cost: here it's 6.00 leva and something and here Essence's stuff is 50% more expensive, witch means somewhere around 3 euro

And now the way I like to do my SE ^ ^
Like i said 45678 times all ready I use 4 colours and follow this sceme. And Yeah it really looks bad done in PS, but I wanted you to see it the best way possible ^ ^

I numbered them from 1 to 4 startting from the lightest colour and ending whit the darkest one. As you can see I start whit applying number 2 all over my lid, then number 1 in the inner corner of my eye. Afetr that apply number 3 and in the end number 4 - like an eye liner.

Before even starting whit the eyeshadow I usually do a little trick I take a kajal pencil in a dark colour / what colour exactly depents on the colour of the SE / For example let's say we are doing a silver-black SE - we will take a black kajal pencil and apply it on the upper lid like a liner - you don't have to make it look good, it could be as messy as you want - put a lot at the outter corner of the eye and make it less and less as you go in. Then take a brush /I like the SE brush from Essence/ and smudge it all over. That way you get of a great start ! It really helps out - try it ^ ^
I also love using quattro eyeshado sets, because thy're colours always look good together. Like for example the quattro eyeshadow pallets From essence - like these two made whit I love denim and To die for - I have only them on, so you van see it better - I'm looking whit my eye a bit closed, so you can see it better ^ ^

If I used a kajal pencil for the first look it would be a dark blue one and for the second one a brown kajal.
Of course it's always good to use a primer before well everything, because that will help your make up stay in place for a longer time and also give it a fresh start ^ ^
Hope you liked it ^ ^
How do you do your SE ?

Brown Me Up ! Baby ^ ^

Here is another look, where I used mostly browns ^ ^ I used: - The Jumbo Eye pencil from the "In the jingle" TE /the brown one/ From Essence - Number 8 "teddy" kajal eye pencil from the regular range of Essence - The white kajal pencil /again from the regular range/ of Essence - A very cheap knock-off mascara ^ ^ - by Golden Rose ^ ^ How to do it: 1 ) apply the Jumbo pencil all over the eyelid /and if needed fix it, like I did/ 2) apply the brown pencil under the water line and as a eyeliner 3) apply the white pencil on the waterline 4) put just a little bit mascara, run it thru your lashes only once and don't out too much, just a little bit / like I did/
A little bit closed, for an intense look ^ ^
We are also 3 followers away from the 1st giveaway ^ ^

Blue Grass

Just a few older looks ^ ^ I'm going to start whiut this one, witch I named Blue Grass /i was also thinking of Green Sky/ So these are the products I used: - Essence MultiDim. eyeshadow - 07 blue lagoon - Essence Colour and Go - o4 Simply Me - Essence white kojl pencil - Catrice eyeshadow brush - Maybaline Mascara - One by One - Veryme double trouble eye pencil - goddess green
Soo, first you take your pencil and whit the blue side do a line on your upper led, next to your lashes / like a eyeliner/ from the inner corner to the middle of your eye. Do the same on the lower lid. Then use the green part and do the same, but this time start from the middle of your eye, where the blue ones ends, to the end of the eye and if you want do a cat eye look or whatever. After that you apply blue eyeshadow on your lid on up from the blue pencil and the the green one on top of the green one. Use as much as you want, I used a little but. And as far away as you go from the eye and blend it. Blending is really important here. I've used a bit of eyeshadow and it's only in my crese, but you can always extend it ^ ^Then apply the white pencil on your waterline - that makes you're eyes bigger - and put your mascara at the end and voyla

Just a bit more ^ ^

I'm ot writing anything, because I'm waiting for my fater to get back from Malaysha /or how ever it's spelled/ whit the camera, because for all the things I want to write, I have to take a picture ... and not having a camera really isn't working for me ^ ^ But he's coming back this Sunday, so I'll be posting on Monday ^ ^ I have a few previews in minds,a few swatches and some make-up ideas for the holidays ^ ^
